Sheer Bliss
So, as of late, I've been piecing together outfits that I never thought I'd ever wear. And, well ... I'M LOVING IT.
I've mentioned this before, but growing up, I struggled accepting my self. I never felt quite confident in my own body, resulting in my wardrobe mainly consisting of hoodies, cardigans, and t-shirts. It got to the point where I was literally asked if it were for religious reasons that I would wear hoodies every day to school (yep, this really did happen).
It wasn't until I hit college that I began to learn to love myself, and it is only now that I am a full grown adult, that I can proudly say that I DO love myself. Every last inch of me.
It's sheer bliss. (Ha. Get it? No? ... Well.)
Let's jump into the outfit!
For this look, again, I am playing with multiple textures.
My shoes are a lovely suede, my bodysuit is a sheer mesh material with embroidery, my bottoms are jean, and to top it off, I decided to wear my leather jacket.
The obvious star of this look is my bodysuit! This is the first bodysuit I've ever owned, and I am incredibly happy I gave this baby a shot. It's very unique, flattering, and could be worn for a variety of occasions, day or night. This piece was purchased on SheIn. Highly recommended!
For this shoot, I also stopped by the LOVELY shop - Jacups.
Jacups is an establishment in Queens, NY that offers amazing pastries, drinks (coffee, cappuccino, espresso, etc.), and meals! The place is warm, it's welcoming, has amazing service, and did not ask me to write this about them. I just love them too much not to emphasize how amazing they really are.
That day, I had a red velvet cupcake, and a Nutella cappuccino. Can I get another of each? To go? Thanks love!
I'm so glad the days are warming up here in New York! We had a period where it would rain, then be sunny ... rain again, then be sunny ... ugh. Crossing fingers this lasts!
If you've made it this far into the post, thank you so much! I hope you've enjoyed this Outfit of the Day! Keep an eye out for the next one!
But before you get going, I'll leave you with this quote:
