For the Gram. For the Blog.
Do it for the gram. Or blog. Or both, 'cause why not?
Lately, I feel as though the Universe has been testing me. Every time I wanted to go out to shoot or collect content for this blog, it either rained, snowed, overlapped with a different commitment, or I didn't feel very well. But me being the stubborn person I am, I could not let the week end without one more post.
And so here is an outfit of the day!
Any sane person would NOT have worn this outside in NJ/NYC today. It was unbelievably cold, windy and icy, but I was determined to get something done. For the gram. For the blog.
Today's location had quite a view. I hit up the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park for the very first time. I had no idea this place even existed until today and still wonder how I didn't know about this. I'll definitely be back here when it's much warmer out for another OOTD or to do some of my own work. It's gorgeous!
For today's look, it's all about Adidas. I probably own too many pieces from their collections, but I'd like to think it's a healthy relationship.
Not too far from the waterfall was this gorgeous painted wall. Most that know me personally know that I LOVE street art. It gives the city or town personality and each wall is unique! I do not know who painted this, but whoever you are, you're frikken talented.
But enough with the babbling.
For shoes, I went for the Women's Originals Extaball Shoes (can be best seen in the first photo on this post). I've had these babies for about three years now and they match with a LOT of different outfits. I'm honestly surprised at the fact that they're not completely worn down by now, but I just hope I didn't jinx myself.
I normally find it quite tacky when brands use their names or logos all over their pieces. 9/10 times, it becomes a deal breaker for me. Adidas however, manages to make it work!
My favorite part of this jacket are the sleeves. They're puffy, bold and they have this sassy, extra-ness about them that I totally dig. If the sleeves were plain black, or the same python print as the rest of the piece, I wouldn't have gone for it.
To tie the look together, I decided to go for both a black turtleneck and a black pair of jeans. Sometimes less is more and I strictly follow this rule when piecing together an outfit, especially when an accessory is very bold (in this case, my jacket).
The turtleneck is from Banana Republic (similar here) and the jeans are from J Brand (similar here).
If you've made it this far, thank you so much - I hope you enjoyed this post! Feel free to visit again soon, or stop by my Instagram to keep in touch!
But before you carry along with your day, I'll leave you with this quote:
